In 1986 we expanded operations to include an exterior nursery. The Plantenders Nursery site serves as the planning hub for the interior landscaping branch of the business and as a wholesale nursery open to provide landscapers and contractors a centralized location for obtaining plant material for job sites.

Our nursery located centrally in Orange county California,  is open on weekends for the homeowner to meet with plant specialists who will help with plant selection, creation of simple plans for their yards, and offer advice on plant care. Appointments can be scheduled for consultation walkthroughs at the homeowner’s site. Plans and specifications are drawn up for the customers needs.

Water-wise, drought tolerant Nursery Plants

Plantenders representatives consult with water districts as part of our ongoing service to our customers. We grow and provide water friendly plants to support our Southern California community. Plantenders representatives also work with HOAs to develop water friendly plant palettes.

About the founder and CEO

Laurie Park, as CEO, has lead Plantenders Corporation since 1977. As an early proponent of using interior plants for commercial buildings, he established his reputation as a person of integrity in business and the community. His philosophy of providing only the highest quality materials and care into every project created the foundation for Plantenders. His interior designs have received Highest Honor Awards through the Interior Plantscaping Association.

As a leader in the community, he has been a supporter of local schools donating plants and containers for school functions at Silverado Elementary, Trabuco Elementary, St. John’s Episcopal School, Santa Margarita Catholic High School, and Ball Junior High. He was a charter member and recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award from the Coto de Caza/Trabuco Canyon Rotary Club. Laurie was a member of the Orange County Paid Call Firefighters, Station 18, and served as both Station Captain and Chief. Laurie has worked with Saddleback Church providing palms for the Lake Forest Campus and caring for the interior plants in the support offices and sanctuary. Laurie has also worked with schools and service organizations orchestrating nursery tours and educational opportunities, introducing the young and mature alike to the wonder and delight of growing plants, making each small world a better, greener place to live.
